privacy policy
Effective date: July 6, 2026
chalant is a pocket garden for logging acts of open caring. This policy is short because the app collects nothing.
What we collect
Nothing. chalant has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no servers. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal information — or any information at all.
Where your data lives
Everything you log — your flowers, notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device and nowhere else. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
Sharing ("cuttings")
The app's only sharing feature is one you trigger yourself: "Take a cutting" exports your garden as a plain file using your device's standard share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely up to you. Nothing is ever shared automatically, and nothing passes through us — we never see it.
Third parties
chalant uses no third-party services, SDKs, or trackers. No data is shared with anyone because no data is collected.
Children
chalant does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever changes any of the above, this policy will be updated first and the effective date revised.
